Heidegger on lds.net

Asked the question "What does it mean to be?"

Lds.net's purpose is to be:
"a large social network for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  It is an online gathering place providing relevant content and applications for Latter-day Saints. On lds.net, visitors can engage one-another in meaningful ways, better experience their culture and community and improve their ability to support the mission of the LDS church."
How does the website execute this? Is the site REALLY being what it set out to be?  I think the content is awesome, but I don't know if the site is designed in a way that is inviting.  The confusing lay out at least kept me from diving in.
