In Ben's post about the Greeks, what struck me the most was the concept that technology imitates nature. Drawing back to statements made in class about a characteristic that people internally seek for in a good social website, is it's level of being organic. People hunger for innovation, but they are happiest with the forms of innovation that reflect reality. One of the number one questions I think Plato would ask, and that we all internally ask, in the first 3 seconds of viewing a site is: "Is it natural?"
The second question Plato would ask is: "How can we help further this in a natural way to complete what nature can't?"
These 2 questions can be a foundational start as we seek to analyze in the mind of Plato what specific functions in social sites answer the needs of users.
